Chief Rathbun serves with a diverse background including Narcotics, CID, SWAT, Mental Health Peace Officer, TCOLE Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Chemical Agent and Less Lethal Instructor and Community Policing.

Renee Butler is the Court Clerk for the City of East Mountain and has been with the city since October 2020.  The New Clerks seminar, Drugged Driving & Mental Health, Case Records Confidentiality & Expunction, and Low Volume Court certificates are just a few to name that she holds. One goal Renee wants to achieve in the year 2023 is to become a Certified Court Clerk.  Ms. Butler also serves as the secretary to the Chief of Police.  She helps coordinate meetings, appointments, and conferences for the Police Chief.  Originally from Dallas, TX area where she has a background in the legal field working for a jury and trial consultant firm. Renee has made her home here in East Texas for the last 10 years.

Officer Mitchell comes to the community as a graduate of the Basic Peace Officer Class #297 from ETPA. He has vast experience from both County and Municipal Law Enforcement and Correction. 

Officer Reynolds comes to our community with patrol and narcotics experience from the City of Arp where he was promoted to the rank of Corporal. Officer Reynolds works full time for the city of Kilgore Fire Department.
